Troubleshooting
Email delivery issues
Docora sends transactional email through Resend (server-configured from-address).
Emails you might expect
| Event | Recipient |
|---|---|
| Verify email / welcome / password reset | You |
| Proposal sent | Client |
| Proposal approved / changes / declined | You |
| Contract sent | Client |
| Contract signed | You |
| Invoice sent | Client |
| Invoice paid | You and client |
| Refund recorded | You and client |
| Stale proposal / overdue reminders | You |
Common causes of “email not received”
- No client email on the proposal/invoice/contract — send may still create a public link, but there is nowhere to deliver mail.
- Spam / promotions folders — ask the client to check and whitelist your Docora from-address.
- Typos in the client email field.
- Provider delay — wait a few minutes and retry send/resend from the editor.
- Server email not configured in an environment (local/dev without
RESEND_API_KEY) — sends fail silently or log errors; production should have Resend configured.
What to do
- Confirm the email on the document, resend, and check spam.
- Use the public link as a backup share method.
- For product how-tos, try the AI support chat or browse
/docs. - Contact support@docora.io if production sends fail for multiple recipients.
