Billing & Plans

Upgrading, downgrading, cancelling

Upgrade or change plan

  1. Open Settings → Subscription, or use Upgrade / Pay now in the sidebar.
  2. Choose a plan (also available from /pricing and /dashboard/billing).
  3. Complete checkout with Paddle.

Subscribed accounts can use Change plan (or Choose a new plan when cancelling) and Manage billing (Paddle customer portal) for payment method updates, invoices, and portal cancellation flows.

Auto-renew and cancelling at period end

Subscription settings include an Auto-renew toggle when you have an active or trialing paid subscription.

  • Turn auto-renew off: Docora schedules cancellation at the end of the current period (or trial). You keep access until that date. The Subscription page shows a Cancelling badge and Access until [date] (not “Renews on”). The sidebar plan card explains that access won’t renew and offers Resubscribe.
  • Resubscribe / turn auto-renew back on: Restores normal renewal before the period ends (no new checkout required if the subscription is still active). You can also pick a plan under Choose a new plan.

Access during billing issues

Access continues while subscription status is active, trialing, or past_due (grace behavior). If a trial ends without payment (or a cancelled period ends), access falls back toward Free limits.

Proration and refunds

Plan change timing (immediate vs next period, credits) follows Paddle’s checkout rules shown at change time. For Docora’s subscription refund policy, see Subscription refunds and the Refund Policy.

This documentation is a living guide and may not cover every edge case yet. Features and labels can change as Docora evolves.
