Invoices

Converting a proposal to an invoice

You can bill from a proposal only after it is Approved and has a client email.

Steps

  1. Open the approved proposal.
  2. Click Convert to Invoice (or similar invoice action on the editor).
  3. Choose how much to bill:
    • Full amount — entire proposal total
    • Remaining balance — whatever is left after prior invoices/refunds
    • Custom amount — any amount that does not exceed remaining balance
  4. Enter a required Label (for example “Deposit” or “Final payment”).
  5. Confirm. Docora opens the new invoice at /dashboard/invoices/[id].

Currency is copied from the proposal. Totals cannot exceed the proposal total (refunds are netted into remaining balance).

Prerequisites

  • Proposal status must be Approved
  • Client email must be present
  • Invoicing is available on all plans (including Free)

Next: set the invoice payment method, then send it to the client.
