Setting up bank transfer
Use bank transfer when clients pay via your bank account and you confirm receipt manually.
Default bank details
- Open Settings → Invoice Payment Method.
- Fill in your default Bank transfer details:
- Bank name (required)
- Account title (required)
- Account number / IBAN (required — single Account number field)
- Optional: bank country, city, SWIFT/BIC, extra instructions for the client
- Save. Defaults are stored encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). When you send an invoice with bank transfer selected, Docora snapshots those details onto the invoice (also encrypted); later edits to Settings do not rewrite already-sent invoices.
On each invoice
Set the payment method to Bank transfer (manual). The public invoice shows your bank details so the client can transfer funds.
After you receive payment, mark the invoice paid in Docora (manual confirmation — there is no automatic bank feed).
Tips
- Prefer Stripe when you want automatic paid status.
- Double-check details before first send; clients will rely on the snapshot on that invoice.
- You can mix methods across invoices (deposit via Stripe, remainder via bank, etc.).
- Saving bank details requires server encryption (
ENCRYPTION_KEY). If save fails with an encryption error, contact support.
This documentation is a living guide and may not cover every edge case yet. Features and labels can change as Docora evolves.
