Proposals

What happens when a proposal is approved

When a client clicks Approve Proposal, the proposal becomes Approved and locks.

What locks

  • Content and pricing edits
  • Currency
  • Further send / status changes that would reopen the approved document

The editor shows that the proposal is approved and locked. This protects the agreed scope for invoices and contracts.

What you can still do

From an approved proposal you can:

  • Convert to Invoice / Generate another invoice (client email required)
  • Generate Contract / open an existing contract (plan permitting)
  • View the public / historical link as a record of what was agreed

Need to change an approved proposal?

Use Duplicate as new proposal. Docora creates a new Draft titled like the original with “(Revision)”, linked back to the original. The duplicate counts toward your monthly proposal limit. Edit and send the revision as a new agreement — the approved original stays intact.

This documentation is a living guide and may not cover every edge case yet. Features and labels can change as Docora evolves.
