Proposals
Sending a proposal to a client
Clients review proposals on a public link — they do not need a Docora account.
Before they can approve or respond
If the proposal has a client email on file, the visitor must type that email to continue. This is a lightweight identity check (same idea as contract signing) so a forwarded link alone is not enough to approve or decline.
Send from the editor
- Open the proposal and finish your edits.
- Click Send to client (or Mark as sent if you only need the status/link without relying on email).
- Status becomes Sent.
If a client email is on the proposal, Docora emails them a link. The public URL looks like /proposal/{token} and is also available to copy from the editor.
What the client can do
On the public page they can:
- Approve Proposal
- Request changes (must include feedback, at least 10 characters) → Send request
- Decline proposal
You receive email notifications when they approve, request changes, or decline.
After send
- You can still edit a Sent proposal until it is approved.
- After Changes requested or Rejected, revise and send again to move it back to Sent.
- Reminders: Docora may email you once about proposals that stay unanswered for several days (daily job).
This documentation is a living guide and may not cover every edge case yet. Features and labels can change as Docora evolves.
