Proposals
Understanding proposal statuses
Every proposal has exactly one status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Created or edited; not yet with the client |
| Sent | Shared with the client (email and/or public link) |
| Approved | Client accepted; proposal is locked |
| Changes requested | Client asked for revisions with feedback |
| Rejected | Client declined |
Typical flow
- Draft → you click Send to client / Mark as sent → Sent
- Client Approves → Approved (locked)
- Or client Request changes → Changes requested → you edit and re-send → Sent
- Or client Decline proposal → Rejected → optionally revise and re-send → Sent
Rules worth knowing
- Once Approved or Rejected as a binding client outcome, the client cannot flip the decision through the public page.
- Only Approved fully locks freelancer editing. Other statuses stay editable.
- Status chips on the dashboard and list views use these same labels.
This documentation is a living guide and may not cover every edge case yet. Features and labels can change as Docora evolves.
