Getting Started

Start here

A short path from signup to your first paid invoice. Each step links to the full docs article when you need more detail.

1. Create your account

Sign up with email or Google, verify your address if prompted, then open the dashboard.

→ Creating your account

2. Set up your company & branding

Add your company name and contact details on Settings → Profile. On plans with branding, upload a logo and brand color so public proposals, contracts, and invoices look like yours.

→ Company profile & branding
→ Branding settings

Optional: save a default terms template so every new proposal starts with your standard terms.

→ Default terms template

3. Create your first proposal

Open New Proposal, pick or add a client, choose a currency, and describe the project. Generate with AI, then edit introduction, scope, timeline, pricing, and terms before you send.

On phones, use the floating + or the Proposals tab; open More for Contracts, Reports, and Settings. See Mobile navigation.

→ Creating a proposal with AI
→ Editing and customizing

4. Send it for approval

Send the proposal (or copy the public link). Your client opens a branded page — no Docora account required — and can approve, request changes, or decline.

→ Sending to a client
→ Approval and locking

5. What happens next

Once approved:

  1. Contract (paid plans) — generate an agreement and collect an e-signature
  2. Invoice — create a full, remaining, or deposit invoice; clients pay via your Stripe key, bank details, or your own payment link
  3. Track — watch status on the dashboard; Docora never holds client funds

→ Generating a contract
→ Converting to an invoice
→ Stripe payments
